How to Deal When You're Bored at Work
No matter how busy you are, there will be moments when you have some downtime at work. This might sound like a good thing, but having nothing to do while you are trapped in the office can get really boring really fast. How do you pass the time when you're bored at work? Get organized
Cleaning and organizing your work space is a great way to pass time while being productive. Take out the trash, file, maybe decorate your desk a little. You will be more productive in a clean and organized space. And if you want to clean some communal areas like the kitchen or break room, your coworkers are sure to appreciate it!
Get out your planner
You may have nothing to do now, but you know it will get hectic again soon. This is the perfect moment to plan out the rest of your day or week. Make to do lists of chores and homework you need to get done. Once you figure it all out, the rest of your day will go much smoother. You can also make some long term goals during this time.
Get your homework done
Do you have an assignment that you need to work on once you get home? You can finish it, or at least start it, during your downtime. You will alleviate your boredom and you will get more free time at home.
Take this time to hang out by the water cooler and chat with your co-workers. Having friends in your office can make work a more pleasant experience. Plus, it gives you the opportunity to network.
You finished everything you were assigned, now you have the chance to come up with your own ideas. If there is something you have been wanting to work on, suggest it to your boss. They will be impressed at your initiative.
