How To Have A Happy & Healthy Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is supposed to be the day that you love on your significant other and show your love through stuffed animals, way too much chocolate, and candlelit dinners. For those that are single, it’s a day that unfortunately serves as a reminder that at the moment you don’t have a better half to share the day with. This Valentine’s Day, focus on having a happy and healthy day by focusing on yourself and improving your health. That’s right, today is your day to be selfish and do what you want to do (and we’re going to show you how.)

Make a delicious breakfast of avocado toast and Siracha.

Trust us, Siracha on avocado toast is like heaven. You’ll more than likely hear choirs of angels singing when you bite into your first slice. Toast your bread, mash your avocado, spread it on the toast, and drizzle some Siracha sauce on top and you’re in business. This healthy meal is both super filling and super delicious.

Sign yourself up for an unexpected fitness class.

Because being alone on Valentine’s Day is never a fun thing, get your friends together and sign up for a completely unexpected fitness class. Do a class that none of you have ever tried before like an acroyoga class or a trampoline fitness class. This will be a fun way to burn calories and you’ll love making the memories with your squad.

Take some time to relax.

After your sweat sesh, carve out some major “me” time. Run yourself a lavender bath, turn on some music, and crack open that book you’ve had beside your bed for months (you know, the one you keep telling yourself you’ll read and never get to.) This is time when you don’t have to worry about anything else and you can just be.

Indulge in some healthy chocolates.

To go along with your “me” time, get yourself some delicious sea salt dark chocolate to indulge in. Not all chocolate is bad for you and if you eat chocolate in moderation, it actually has quite a few health benefits. Chocolate can even help with weight loss. Besides, on Valentine’s Day of all days, you should eat some chocolate.

Watch your favorite movie.

Growing up is hard and not having any time to sit down and watch your favorite movies is part of that. Because today is all about you, use your time to watch that movie you’ve loved since you were a kid. You know the one – cheesy, awful acting, but it will have you rolling on the floor laughing in minutes.
